I know I know. Enough with the PM9 questions already.

Well I have a stash of 124gr+P Gold Dots I bought from Chesters last year. I shot 79 rounds of the stuff through my PM9 during the first range visit, and just don't like it very much. It's definitely manageable, but the extra zip makes follow up shots a lot slower. I found myself having to reacquire my grip with my left hand after every shot.

So what do you use? Any help is much appreciated.

Try some HST 147 its cheap at ammo to go

The Mrs uses the 147 Gold Dots in hers, and they work fine. I'd be inclined to follow up on murray's suggestion re: the HSTs at ammo to go; I got excellent service from that vendor.

Speer gold dot 124+P short barrel. The best for my PM9.

There have been reports of the Gold Dots not feeding reliably through Kahr's. I use Gold Dots in most of my 9's, but carry Remington Golden Sabre 124+P in my PM9. It has always fed 100% reliably.

I had some feed concerns orgionally, discussed it with Kahr, sent the barrel back, they polished the feed ramp and it feeds as per factory specs.

The only issues I have had with the PM9 and the 147gr gold dot is chambering the first round in the magazine.

Sometimes on loading the first round I have to give a firm tap the back of the slide to feed that 1st round in the chamber. Other than that the gun has been 100% with a few hundred rounds of multiple different types of ammo.

I have never had an actual malfunction with the PM9.
