I purchased what I thought was Ranger-T series ammo. When it arrived today I noticed I purchased the Bonded ammunition and not the T series. What's a better bullet? I was looking at winchesters comparison tool and the bonded bullet actually appears to perform better then the T series. They are both LEO ammunition. I have: Winchester RA9B What I at first wanted was:Winchester RA9T. What's better? Are there advantages to a bonded bullet? Let me know your thoughts here. I will probably just keep it and purchase the T series but I want more thoughts on this. I was also taking a look at the Speer Gold Dots. From what I can tell most LEO's love the stuff. I was considering getting a few boxes of that as well. What's your opinion on the #1 self defense round? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum! In simplest terms, the bonded yields greater penetration/terminal performance than the non-bonded, especially through barriers. That's more of a plus for LEO, but I honestly don't think you can go wrong w/either choice in the Ranger T line. Check out a past thread in here of one of the other 'caliber war' posts. Someone posted a copy of the Winchester ammo catalog & it shows you terminal performance stats of all their SD ammo.

FBI, ATF and the other DOJ Agencies that still use 9mm have switched over to the RA9B.

I've decided to stick with the bonded. What are the Top Brands of Bonded 147grain ammunition? I like the rangers but I'd like to shoot a few different kinds and figure out what I like the best. Thanks in advance!
