MPX suppressor
Does anyone have a preference/experience for a MPX suppressor?

Thanks,
Tommy

I have an Omega9k on mine.
Works great with 147grain ammo.

Ti-Rant works well....but my Octane is still in jail for a little bit. I'm hoping that is the one....

I also have the SilencerCo Omega 9K on a Rugged trip-lug mount. Incredibly short package on a 4.5" barrel.

What about the multi caliber suppressors?

I'm using the Silencerco Hybrid on my MPX. It has the 9mm endcap and the ASR mount. I wanted my MPX to be as quiet as possible while minimizing the chance of blowback which means a larger volume can. It has worked just as I had hoped, very quiet and no blowback. It's larger than a traditional 9mm can but still quite lightweight.

Just picked up a MPX and was looking at the Omega9k also, $800 seemed high but I just started looking so am not sure. Is that a decent price?

How does it work with 115 grain ammo?

Thanks

I've not tried it with 115 - but I imagine it'd be fine... just a bit loud.
124 works fine - but is also not subsonic.

Did you have to use a wrench to remove the flash hider? Any tips...I read about soaking it in hot water first.

hah!
I actually gave up on that.
I had my barrel cut and threaded - so removing the flash hider simply became a non-issue for me.

Ya...getting the flash hider off is a bit of a bitch.

I soaked mine in water for 24 hours, clamped it up good in a barrel vise, and used a large screwdriver thru the hider slots to add torque.

'Didn't think it would at first, but then "SNAP" - it came loose Smile

Good luck.

ETA - Left-hand threads Wink

Works fine though a little louder than the 147gr.
