I just got a call from my dealer, and my suppressor paperwork is in. I got the gun on September 4th. The paperwork for each was sent in to BATFE on April 21st.
Seems like times vary pretty wildly. I wouldn't consider 6 months "faster". |

Trust or individual? Individual's tend to take longer. |

All my transfers are as an individual. A buddy had a .22 suppressor come through in about 6 weeks. I just thought it was sort of odd that two sets of forms can be mailed off the same day and come back more than a month apart. I don't know who my examiners were. |

Mailed my F4 off on OCT 20th so my wait starts !!!

My Form 4 was very fast. I signed the form 4 on June 16th and gave dealer $200 stamp check. JULY 22nd, Form 4 signed by Dealer.
 Mailed ???? Sometime after dealer signed form4. Received stamp back 10/21/2009. (BATF dated 10/15) So turnaround time is less than 90 days. My Houston Dealer was going through a MAJOR several week BATFE audit. NO EXCUSE for not mailing right away. Tiger-Mule |

Had a trust form 4 approved 2 weeks ago. Took 5 months.

Form 4 sent 5-24-09 went pending 7-13-09 still waiting.

Just broke 90 days on a Mossberg 590A1 SBS and my first can, a Gemtec outback 2. Called and was told it is pending, such a pain in the A#@

Having the dealer do the form and signing it on the spot when you buy the item is the norm. It's also normal for YOU to mail in the check with the form, fingerprints, etc... on your own.
