I realize I will have an additional $300 for the stamp and transfer fee.
Please give recommendations. Thanks

Look at YHM. The tax stamp is $200, so for $600 + 200 - yes.

115 + 115 = 230

Thanks M4, do you own one or have any first hand experience with it?

No, I do not own or have experience with YHM, but they seem to be the most popular option in that price range. I've never heard anything bad about them. You might also look around for a deal on an SWR Wolverine. You may be able to approach the $600 range. SWR's products are excellent and they are great to deal with. I have 2 SWR supressors and they are built like tanks.

$500 can??? so how do you save $125? m41000 starts at $650 & m42000 starts at $995... both require a $80 flash hider adapter & either one leaves me feeling like a dog humped my leg...

"Save an extra $125" as in when you get your paycheck from Walmart on Friday put away a little extra in the piggy bank until you have enough for an M4-1000. I've seen them for $624.99 including the flash hider.

Having never had a dog hump my leg but having shot several M4-2000s what exactly is this feeling you speak of?

There are few 5.56 cans I would buy. I would only go with AAC, OPS INC or Elite Iron.

I just picked up an M4-1000 on Wed, seemed like forever waiting for my stamp to come back....I think it's a great sounding can. I didn't pay anywhere near retail for it. My buddy just got approved for his SS Phantom so it will fun to compare the two. I really don't think you can beat the M4-1000 or YHM Phantom for the price point. You may want to email Major Malfunction or Polite Society.......

I have the Yankee Hill, and two of my friends have them also.

For the price you can't beat them.

I'm in somewhat the same boat as the OP I'm looking for a QUALITY can for both my 556 and my 18" LWRC. Price isn't a huge factor but I hate to get hosed.
Only have a few dealers here in MT, visited one yesterday and he really talked down AAC as being too expensive, long wait for the can, etc. Tried to sell me on a YHM can for $580.

I've seen GEMTECH's mentioned a lot....Any input??

Look at all your costs, stamp $, transfer fee from one dealer to your dealer, cost of the can, cost of a quick mount vs a threaded only etc etc.

I have a YHM phantom QD my buddy has a AAC m-4 1000

I prefer AAC mounting design over YHM

both cans are nice but if I was going to do it over I would have pick up a 7.62 can instead to run on both cals.

GEM-TECH== M4-02 ROX!!!

The Gem-Tech M4-02 needs no adapter, supresses beautifully, and costs next to nothing in comparison to the competition (the competition that SOCOM has declined repeatedly, I might add). It's also nice and compact, too!
