You might check with Ron at Arizona Tactical Firearms. His shop is on the SWC of McClintock and Baseline in Tempe. He can most likely refer you to someone.

They can do a trust in-house at a fraction of the cost of an attorney.

Download the nfa trust example, delete the items it says delete, adding in your information as you go. Print it, have it notarized.
Wont cost you anything but the notary fee.

I bought my software at Wal Mart. If ound it in the bargain bin. You know the ones I am talking about... They frequently have them full of movies you have nver heard of for $3.99 etc. Well, my Wally World had on of those big baskets loaded with software. I paid $11.99 for it. The software also has some cool stuff in it like Medical power of Attorney, Vehicle bill of sale, firearm bill of sale etc.

The only difference I have found is in the Schedule A, where most people list each NFA item I do not. For Example they list:

  • Gemtech Suppressor, Outback II, 22lr, A1-2345

  • AAC Suppressor, Evolution, 9mm, Z5-4321

In my trust, schedule A reads like this:
quote:
1. All of the Tangible Personal Property of ROTNDAD now owned or hereafter acquired including any and all weapons and weapon accessories, which property is hereby assigned and conveyed to the trust.

I have done two transfer into my trust. Both of them were the suppressors listed above in the example. Those are not the real serial numbers.

NOTE: I am NOT a lawyer and I slept at home last night but I have had no problems with my trust as it appears above. Always check with a lawyer in your state to verify what is required. The gun shop people PROBABLY know the law but I doubt they are going to serve your time for you at Club Gitmo if they give you incorrect info.

I have a copy of my trust that the real names have been removed (kind of like the example cARpenter15 refernced. If anyone wants a copy of it, jsut email me and I will send it to you. It is in MS Word format.***Use at your own risk***

Rotndad:

In reference to my post above - responding to your generous offer of providing a copy of NFA trust in WORD - I should have said:

I emailed you and haven't heard back so I thought I would let you know here. I thought that maybe it got caught in a spam filter or something.

Let me know if I need to resend request.

Thanks again,

FLhiker

I could be wrong but this trust doesn't seem any different from a revocable trust. You can add anything you want into that trust.

I suspect that you could be right - but, in any event, it might be educational to actually see what Rotndad proposes. I have not seen it yet.
