Anybody ever dealt with a dealer called Major-Malfunction? He has a pretty nice website. www.major-malfunction.com. I sent him an email last week about getting a TAC 65 for my .22. He replied back very nicely and said to just give him a call if he could help me. And he would even help do the trust paperwork for me.
Well, I have called 3 times today, the 1st 2 times I got the voice mail for someone by the same name at Endo-surgery. I left a message the second time I called. This was before lunch today. So, while I was slow at work I figured I would try again, this time it rang about 3 times and someone picked up. I heard talking in the background like someone was sitting listening to a lecture or in a sales meeting or something. Then they hung up. From looking at the website he seems to know his stuff and be willing to help me out with the trust paperwork, since I have never done it. I just don't know about all the rest of this. What do you guys think? Wait and see if he calls me back or what? Anybody know any other good dealers I can get a TAC 65 from reasonably? And that will still help walk me through the paperwork? -------------------------------------------------- jager1 - "I asked if he was a Ranger and he said no but he used to drive a truck for the National Guard." I've heard very good things about him. But he's not in your state (according to your profile) you may want to consider seeing if your local dealer can help you with your trust. Each state has different trust requirements.
If you are still in GA, consider dealing with Polite Society: http://www.politesocietyinc.com/ I've personally dealt with them, and they are good people. ------- Mr. Doom and Gloom |

Cool, thanks PPGMD, he said he could draw up the proper paperwork and forward it to me for the rest to fill out. But, like you said, I may be better of dealing with someone who knows GA stuff more particularly.
I'll keep checking on it then. I just wanted someone to tell me if he was a "thumbs up" dealer or not. -------------------------------------------------- jager1 - "I asked if he was a Ranger and he said no but he used to drive a truck for the National Guard." You're going to need a local NFA dealer to handle the transfer.
Polite Society is a well-regarded NFA dealer with a very good inventory. |

I bought my YHM Cobra from him with no problems. He had many dealings with NFA items in NC and he is in OK. He had the best price anywhere, and that was what sold it for me.

The guy from Maj-Malfunction called me back this afternoon. VERY nice guy. He does this as a side job and is out of town till Thursday. He said he has done GA trusts before with no problems. Said he would call me as soon as he could when he got back in later this week. Really nice guy.
thanks for the info again guys, we'll see how this goes. -------------------------------------------------- jager1 - "I asked if he was a Ranger and he said no but he used to drive a truck for the National Guard." "Pro Aris et Focis" GCO Member - www.georgiacarry.org NRA Member- www.nra.org |

Never heard a complaint about him, but it would be hard for me to believe there could be enough markup/profit margin in a low end unit like a TAC 65 to bother going through two dealers rather than having a local dealer buy direct from Tactical Innovations.
