$1000, and it doesn't include a bolt nor magazine. You can roll your own for much much cheaper, and you get your pick of cans to put on it.

you're paying a premium but gemtech's stuff is nice. i've been very happy with my talon upper. you could definitely build it cheaper if you want a project but then i didn't pay msrp for my talon either.

my 22 upper from rick keuhl ran $850 and that included 4 ciener 30 round mags and bolt assembly but no nice dd rail and no can.

if you want a dedicated upper/can then it's a go for instant gratification in my mind.

Lets say the bolt is $100, so it's $1,100.

The Spikes's Tactical Upper is $565 including bolt and YHM carbine rail, you can get a SWR Spectre for another $500. Or you can go cheaper and get an AAC Pilot, or a Gemtech Outback II for around $300.

Either way you get a can that you can use on other guns.
