Depending on if you're a decibel freak the quietest can on a pistol isn't necessarily the quietest can on a long gun.

I like the Aviator on both pistol and rifle but AAC has been pissing me off as of late.

As doubloon has said there is a difference in suppression between the 2.

Good Luck

The outback is quieter than the aviator on rifle and aviator is quieter on pistol. The aviator is also 1.5" longer and almost 1.5oz heavier. The performance you getout of the outback is amazing considering its size. At 2.9oz and 5.1" long it is the smallest out there yet it is still one of the best performing cans on the market. I had one out this weekend and that thing always impresses me.I had it on a 10/22 and a mosquito. When on the mosquito you really cant even feel it on there.

I use an Outback II on a P22, a S&W 422 and a 10/22. Works fine. The cost of another suppressor and stamp isn't worth the meager reduction I might get on a pistol vs. rifle, so I just use the one and call it good.

The manual that came with the Outback says it was designed to run dry, but that a small amount of medium can be added. It specifically says to use only oil-based mediums, as water can damage the aluminum. So don't so that.

I don't mind Silvers at all but Mers has been jerking my chain on some mounts for over 8-months. That UPS truck from GA to OH must be drunk.

Post a pissed off note in the "AAC" section on silencertalk and you'll have them tomorrow. That's what everyone else does. Wink

But... they'll probably just tell you to cancel your order since they don't need the money anymore.
