I have a SBR with supressor I got through a trust. When I die, what is my executor supposed to do?

I'm no lawyer, but you should have benificiaries listed. The SBR should go to the benificiary noted in the trust. They'll need to have it transferred to them on a form 4 and pay the $200, IIRC.

Its a tax free transfer on a Form 5. They still have to fill out all the paperwork but no transfer tax. They can even have it put in their own trust.

Exactly. Just make sure whoever is going to be the executor knows where to go for the paperwork or if you're a nice guy have all the forms ready to go in the packet.

Thanks for all your responses. I may not have provided all the information necessafry to answer my question. Blame it on old age!!

My Trust has my brother as co-Trustee. So, I thin k the Form 5 should do. But what I failed to mention was that he lives in TN and I live in FL.

So, aside from the NFA stuff, he will need to deal with TN law stuff.

I wish I had thought about all this stuff before getting my SBR and supressor stamps. I did so for estetic and auditory reasons. As for the latter, the SBR does produce lower noise., but not significanty less than the SBR, un-suppressed.

So, I have joined the group of wants v. needs, plus the esthetics of the SBR. Is machinegun stamp next?

God save us from our addiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John the enabler.
