Keeping a thread protector on
I just installed a threaded barrel on my Glock. I’ve heard that the thread protectors can work loose while shooting.

Is this a valid concern?

If so, what’s the recommended remedy?

Thanks,

I haven't found it to be a problem. I have had suppressors need a bit of tightening after shooting but not thread protectors.

Good luck

Did your thread protector come with an o-ring?

Slip the o-ring on, then thread the thread protector on. The tension from the o-ring will keep the thread protector from backing off.

Thanks much.
Not sure yet if it’s going to be a problem as I’ve not shot it yet but I wanted to have a plan in place. I’ll stop by and get an o ring from our local gunsmith.

Again, thanks.
