Ok, I have one P225 and I am looking at getting another (used of course, but I really like this pistol). I would like to suppress one (or both). I ran a search but found no leads on a threaded barrel for the 225. Even Google came up with only a few "vaporware" type references to a threaded P225 barrel.
Anyone here got a lead?
Oh, and I also want a threaded barrel for my Mosquito.
I am really impressed w/ the AAC line of suppressors (Pilot for the .22 and the Evolution for the 9mm) but I am open to suggestions.

The word around here is that a threaded P225 barrel is in the works...time frame and Mfg. unclear, it's been very Secret Squirrel so far.

As for the Mosquito barrel, myself and quite a few others have purchased them from Jason @ JC Weaponry, or directly from Gem Tec. I can vouch for either as being good to do business with. The barrels in question are great, solid steel (unlike factory) drop in fit, and no adaptor needed to supress w/ most cans. Most people are experiencing enhanced reliability with the aftermarket barrels. Hope that helps, if you find a threaded p225 barrel let us know!

Cool. I had run across the drop in barrels for the Mosquito and will be ordering one pretty soon. Luckily I haven't had the reliability issues w/ my Mosquito that I have heard of here and other places.
Also, I really hope this threaded 225 barrel doesn't turn into "vaporware".

Bar Sto. You may need to wait but they have made them. P225 is a very cool gun with a supressor on it.

Thanks!! I found them on the web. They don't list the 225, but I bet if they made them in the past they might be convinced of another limited run. Now where's that "Contact" page?

Just in case anyone is interested. I emailed Bar Sto about a threaded barrel for our 225's. This is what I got back

"No we don't make them anymore and we don't plan on it anytime soon.
We just didn't have enough demand for them. Thank you and have a great day."

However, I did reply and ask just how many definite/paid orders they would have to have before they would consider a production run. So I'll let y'all know how that turns out.

OK, last update from Bar Sto.

"We would require a 50% deposit down on the cost of the barrels which at retail price is $200.00 per barrel but you will receive a 25% discount on the retail price. Approximate wait time is 16 weeks because it is a special run. Please let us know if you might be interested. Thank you!'

Anyone interested?

Well, just 48 more to go! I would assume that anyone interested would need to contact Bar Sto.
Rebekah is who I have been corresponding w/ at the company. I am sure they would want the deposits on all 50 barrels before tooling up for a run. If I get a significant number of replies to this thread, I guess we could move to something more formal.

Hudr, might be worth your while to contact one of the larger retailers on Sigforum (I.E. Top Gun Supply)...might be a little easier to get them to place a substantial order for the barrels thereby reducing the number of folks you need to find. Just my .02

I need a barrel but I don't need it threaded. Will that work?

Very true, I had thought of that, just hadn't acted on it as of yet. Sometimes I am SO lazy.

Sir, I just spoke with Rebekah, 1658 my time. She advised me that if you could get 50, as you stated, with the deposit they would build them and it would take about 21 weeks or more. Now, she said you could make it a mix and match batch. They don't all have to be threaded just so long as you get a total of 50. You know more of these people than I do but I bet if you would post this in the Classifieds and in the Sig Pistol sections that you would have fifty in no time. She said ported, plain, or threaded just so long as it was 50 total.

I spoke with Bruce (GGI) and Tom (Top Gun). I think if we can get the numbers together and show them that we can pull this off. Since it requires a deposit I thought it best if a company handled it, as was stated before.

21 weeks, lol.

Just contact adco firearms and have them do a threaded extension, you'll be shooting the gun in two weeks or so.
