I just bought a used Gemtech Blackside can in .45 acp. The only .45s I currently own are two custom 1911s and a Sig P220. The threads on the can are 16x1, same as HK. But I heard the Blackside doesn't work very well on the HK usp pistols.

I would prefer either the new HK45 once they come out with the tactical mode, or the Glock 21, or even a Sig P220st. I just don't want to start messing with my 1911s too much. I think my first choice would be the glock 21. Remember, thsi can has no booster so it needs something that will run reliably with.

Any ideas?

The Gemtech Blackside will not work with the Glock 21 without a booster, unfortunately the booster isn't quite out yet, and it will cost just under $200 from what I am told.

I have one it runs on my USP Tactical fine, but it's quite a bit louder then other 45 cans that I have heard.

the blackside works just fine on my usp tactical. hopefully i'll eventually pick up a nice 220 to use with it also.

HK did release the threaded barrels for the HK45 if you don't want to wait for the tactical model.

Call Gemtech about upgrading mine to booster version, $185 and 30 days turn around.
