"Cleared" the abyssal Bullshit that it is to get a suppressor...

synonymous with approved....

I had a stroke several years ago and sometimes use the wrong words-it seems legit to me but obviously others have a hard time understanding what I'm saying....it's like a mild case of bendable! LOL!!

DSgrouse: it was for a single person. Form 4. My buddy and I sent ours in together, literally in the same envelope and he got his approved two weeks prior to mine.

I was thinking things were speeding up,

Form 4 still takes longer. Everyone on the form is checked which delays it even further. Right now they are running 7 to 8 months. form 1's are quicker. The now allow Efiling the form 1's.

The kiosks are more convenient to a point but really no quicker. My friend's shop is looking into getting one. But they are 5k and built to order. they won't start assembling them until ten are on order. Meanwhile, they hold your 5k and give no idea how long it will take.

The AFT will send two that come in together to totally different examiners. Even several sent in together don't necessarily go to the same examiner.

The time frame isn't in the length of time for the check but the volume.

One recent gun show here had a display from the AFT and they were available for questions. Really a nice group of people who cleared up many questions in this area.

I called to check on the status of my Obsidian 9 and the ATF said it was waiting on the FBI NICS check. He would not say how long that takes.

Form 4 trust, submitted on 3/14/18. Right at 7 months total time so far.

Just called and found out this was approved, 7.5 months total. Not sure how much of that was time languishing at FBI but it was at least 2 weeks.

Mailed Form 4 Individual 3/20/18
Credit Card Charged 4/10/18
Approved 10/24/18
ETA: Picked up on 11/11/18

Did not think I would buy another suppressor after the first one, but....

At least I do get to shoot them at my LGS while waiting for the stamp.

Suppressor and form 1 order plqced on 10/11.

Silencershop mailed the suppressor forms 10/15.

I am not sure what is up with the two form 1's

My 200 dollar checks were cashed today, my Form 1's were supposed to ETF today, but i don't see that updated on my account as of yet.

My nomad 30
And 4th ghost m submitted 11/9

My mpx form 1 submitted 11/12 eft

Still waitin on

Kriss vector form 1.

My 4th ghost m, was mailed on 11/9
My Nomad 30 was mailed on 11/9

My Kriss vector crb in 40sw was under review. It seems that it is the first Kriss vector CRB in 40sw to go in for Form 1. The guy said he has had plenty of SDP's but this is the first CRB. sooo, i have the dubious honor of having the first. It was filed etf yesterday. According to silencer shop, the system will monitor the funs under review once they are cleared for etf, it will auto submitt. That was the only thing hosing the K.V.Crb up.

Holy shit, tax stamp for my LMT just came back today.

4 MONTHS!

F1 signed by me on 8/3, check cashed on 8/27 and received in the mail today, 11/23. Examiner dated it on 11/16.

Filed as an individual via Silencer Shop's service.

Funny that this F1 went in after two silencers. Also have an MPX on F1 waiting that was cashed on 9/22...wonder if I'll get that back next month??

Speaking with SS guy today, he said it is pretty much up in the air. He has seen F1 ETF's go through in 5 days, to 5 months. No rhyme nor reason to the order.
