Work perfectly. There are several suppressed 9mm owners here with a varity of suppressors used.

I have a 5.5" with an AWC suppressor on it. Functions perfectly, does get a little dirty pretty quickly (compared to an un suppressed 9mm AR).

We have the LRM M-169 in 9mm & .40S&W. Works very well. Very controllable. As you mention, since it is a blowback design there is some gas/noise emitted as the bolt is pushed back. It will never be as quiet as a bolt system, but still is very easy to use.

I was very impressed with how quiet mine was and I really enjoy this setup (7.5" barrel with AAC Evolution).

I plan to SBR and supress my 9mm AR in the not too distant future. One of the main reasons I chose this caliber AR to do it is that it is blowback, and there will be none of the reliability issues that a short gas tube could cause. I think a blowback operated firearm lends itself particularly well to being supressed.

I prefer the AAC Evo9 and SWR Trident (over the YHM) because they are more versatile as they have more mounting options (piston, no piston, 3 Lug, UZI, etc.) I use my Evo9 on my 9mm AR, pistols, etc. Everything I can.

I'm pretty sure there's a company that builds integrally suppressed 9mm AR's (ala MP5SD series).

The most versatile suppressor to buy would be one where the attachment 'bush' could be changed from 3-lug to Neilson device. That way you can 3-lug your longarms and thread your pistols and use the can on either. RRA 9x19 barrels are fat enough (3/4", 19mm) to have the 3-lugs cut right into them rather than use a screw-on adaptor.

Mine looks like that. It was built by Mike at TSC and I use a Gemtech Raptor in it. I have an extra TSC upper if anyone needs one. It is a good system, but will never be as quiet as a HK MP5SD due to the operating system.

I've got a 5" TROS barrel, SWR Trident, RRA 9mm upper, RRA lower. I don't have a pic handy, but it would look just like the ones above.

Here's my 2 cents.....

9mm suppresses well, but only with subsonic rounds. You cant go out to wally world and buy the bulk pack and expect quiet shooting because the bullets are 115 grain and will give you a sonic crack when shot.

Most guys use a heavy bullet like a 147 grain to bring the velocities down to subsonic speeds so that you have a significant sound reduction from the suppressor.

Thats about the only drawback to shooting a 9 suppressed.

Where can order online a 3 lug adapter to screw on a standard Colt 6450 barrel? The adapter needs to be compatible with a Gemtech MK-9K.

I have built several. My current one has a 5.5" barrel with Yankee Hill Wraith suppressor. It works well in both semi and full auto.

Where is the best place to get one of the 3-lug uppers where the barrel is shrouded by the quad-rail like most of these pics?
