I have owned this rifle for quite a few years. It is in it's original box. This rifle has not been in production for years. It is a Mark V Alaskan in .270 Weatherby. Has a electroless nickel finish and syn. stock. I never had plans to sell it. I had plans to scope it and use it for big game hunting. But because it is pretty rare in unfired condition in it's original box I never did anything with it. I have other hunting rifles that preform well so never felt the need to move forward setting it up. This is a beautiful and pretty rare Weatherby. I have no idea how many were made in this configuration or in this caliber. Not that many I am pretty sure. Finding on in "unfired" condition is definitely a rare find for a Weatherby person. I had hoped to take a Dall sheep in Alaska with it. I still might if I do not sell it. I would consider a Sig as a partial trade. P225, P229 9mm mostly. Others considered. Would also consider negotiating a trade for a Scar 16 or 17 Price is $1600 plus $50 for shipping and Insurance. Email if interested. This message has been edited. Btt guys. This is a really nice rifle, in a great caliber. Like new, unfired condition. Compared to other new rifles on the market this is something you should give serious consideration to if planning a purchase. Open to possible trades and cash. A wonderful and rare Weatherby rifle in like new in the box condition. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Are those the nickel ones that they used, instead of the stainless steel?

Yes, K my mistake and I new this but had forgot. This is a made in Japan rifle. It is ELectroless Nickel finish. They only made these for a couple of years in the early 1990' as I understand it. MK-V Alaskan. Thanks for clarifying. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

I was curious, I didn't know if they made different varieties of that gun. Wish I needed one.
