On the P226, is it glare or scratches on the trigger guard and grip panel? Can you post or send more pics?

Bottom of the trigger guard is checkering.

With the gun in front of me I see the marks on the front of the trigger guard and above the trigger on the frame are places where the finish has worn through, (I guess??? Never carried or abused) it was in a leather holster in the safe but never carried so I'm at a loss how the marks happened??

The pistol has been sitting in my safe for 2 years not used.
