It is a clear "see through" caseback with a MechaQuartz Hybrid movement! The movement is as follows:

MOVEMENT

VK61A MechaQuartz “Hybird” movement
Both clockwise and anti-clockwise winding with one way clutch
Date display with quick set
Hacking Seconds hand

Photo from a blog / not my watch:

You can see a great review of it here:
note: they've increased MSRP since this video review was done

Ooh, I like that a lot.
I'd likely get the "why do you need another watch" just like the "why do you need another gun" talk.

Maybe if it's still available after the first of the year....

My wrist is roughly 6.5" too. So wonder if it'd wear big on me. My Citizen is 44mm & a bit thick...

I actually bought two different variants. I'm still going to keep one. By modern standards, it is NOT too big, but to my eye, everything is too big. I have three phenomenal modern 39mm watches that will likely ALL Be sold in the coming months. I can feel it coming. I find my self contracting to vintage sized. 35, 36 and maybe 37mm

I have a 6.5 inch wrist. Worn with a healthy amount of "looseness", I'm in the third to tightest (smallest) hole. From there, there is NOT two additional inches to the last notch . I'd say it would comfortably fit an 8". I think you would require a long version strap in anything you get.
