We just received a new shipment of BAR-STO Barrels. These are Semi Drop In barrels. $199.
From the Bar-Sto Precision Machine website:
"A SEMI DROP IN Barrel Generaly requires little to no fitting. They should go in about 7 out of 10 times with no fitting required but with the tolerance of firearms, this is not always the case. We strive to give you the tightest lock up, still allow for the barrels to fit with little to no fitting and give you MUCH BETTER than factory accuracy. We do offer fitting of the semi drop ins for RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES ONLY."

McGee,
If your barrel does not drop in, a decent gunsmith or BarSto will fit it for you..

Just to be sure, the Bar-Sto 9mm conversion barrel for the P226 X-5 will turn a .40 X-5 into a 9mm X-5, right?

Also, do you usually use the same .40 magazines with 9mm in them or do you need 9mm X-5 magazines? Thanks for your help, and sorry for my ignorance on this but I have not seen a Bar-Sto conversion in person yet.

That is correct inSIGnificant.

For best results, 9mm magazines should be used..

Thanks. What I meant was that I want one of the gunsmith needed to fit barrels, not the semi drop ins.

We don't stock "Match Target" barrels. I experience enhanced accuracy with my personal BarSto OEM replacement and 9mm conversion "semi drop-in" barrels.

OK, well I just talked to a smith and the drop in will do just fine. How can I order a 226 9mm barrel. I don't see it on the website.

I think I bought the last one last night. After going through the web checkout the inventory no longer listed the barrel.

Are you considered an 'authorized rep' for Bar-sto? I ask (forgive my potential ignorance) because I've heard they will sell you a video with instructions on how to fit the barrel, or fit the barrel for the cost of shipping only, if you bought it from them or an 'authorized rep'.

We are an authorized Bar-Sto Distributor. Bar-Sto will fit the barrel for the cost of shipping.

For Sig pistols, the only required changes are the barrel and the magazine..
