What makes the older Sig hammers and triggers turn a reddish hue? i have 2 and was curious.
More than a few, less than others!
Here is one thread discussing this "plum" SIG hammer, http://sigforum.com/eve/forums...935/m/6890015444/p/1

I may have a buyer for the 1911 but am waiting to hear back.
The P228, it's just hype.
It's all yours. Thanks.
I'll take the 43X
I'm also taking the 1911

The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with.'
