Would like to BUY or TRADE FOR a budget NIGHT VISION or THERMAL scope and/or monocular. Have CA$H or GUNS to trade (if you'd rather) for your USED in good condition digital optic. Just want to try it out and see if it's for me so don't want to invest too much yet. Night vision/thermal scope &/or monocular for hog hunting.

I'm a little further along in the experimental process, just as you're beginning. I don't recommend the ATN X Sight. I worked with the factory for several weeks trying to make it work. I sent my original to them after several conversations with their office. Ultimately I returned both units for a refund. The unit is packed with features, but it doesn't do any one thing well. My units were grainy and either really dark or really white at night, regardless of illuminator settings.
That said, I am extremely happy with a small company out of Georgia called 3D Night Vision. He makes his own units. He's available for questions and always happy to help. I am more than pleased with the product, especially for the $399 he charges.

lopez, thanks for the lead. I had narrowed it down to the SIGHTMARK PHOTON if it was gonna' be a new one, but I had not heard of 3D. I will check them out.

You should talk to Tyler at Ultimate Night Vision in the DFW area. They have scopes you can rent to try out before you buy. He’s a super nice guy and probably one of the most knowledgeable people you’ll ever meet for thermal imaging equipment.

Are you looking for something to mount or a handheld unit? 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Gen.? Price range you have in mind? I have a couple of inexpensive handheld Gen 1 units. May be able to help your search one way or another if you can narrow it down. I’m currently using a Gen 2+ monocular I’m extremely happy with that was around $600. D300. Was able to find my brother one as well.

I have a photon digital night vision scope and a Bushnell handheld night vision that takes photos and video. I would be happy to discuss selling either or both with you. I also have a Pulsar Sentinel GS gen1 that I can discuss. I live west of Fort Worth. If you want to meet me at my range you can try all three of them out.

Thanks for the responses. I'm looking for 2+ or 3. Wow, that is a smokin' price on a D300 10x. I think I am going to focus more on a scope as I located an an older, but very workable monocular.
