Measuring belts

I measure my belts by the leather only not including the buckle.
If you lay your belt on the table and measure from where the buckle attaches, to the hole you wear it in, that is your size. I’ll punch 5 holes or 7 in the belt and the middle one will be where you usually wear it.

Belts are 1 ½ inch wide and about ¼ to 5/16 thick.

Size? __________ Measure the way its shown on the web site.

Color of the Belt? ________________

Color of the thread? ________________

End of the belt Rounded ________

Style of Buckle Number? ___________

Loctite on screws? Yes or No? _____________

Your work looks really nice. Are your belts stiff to support the weight? I may be intereste, how do you take payment?

Also I noticed this is your first post. It may be a good idea to drop by the introductions section and write a bit about yourself. It may be frowned upon here if you dont participate in discussions but just try to sale. With that said, welcome to the forum, not trying to come off as a butthole.

Hi, Jerry -- welcome aboard!

Many folks do not put their email addresses in postings like this, to avoid having them "harvested" by spammers. You're not really in danger from our friends in SIG Forum, buy anyone can read these articles; you do not have to be a member. For those members who would like to contact you, I see that you do have your email in your profile -- that is a Good Thing, since non-members cannot access that. Just a tip that might be helpful.

Now, on to your belts. Questions:
  • Are they two layers, bonded together, or a single layer?

  • I assume that you offer the "standard" widths -- 1 1/4", 1 1/2", and 1 3/4" -- correct?

  • What is the thickness?

  • Cowhide? Horsehide?
Once again, welcome aboard, and as AnimalMother mentioned, feel free to participate in other discussion sections of the Forum, and introduce yourself in the New Members section.

Cool, might have to get one of these. What are the measurements you need to properly size the belt?

I also have purchased belts from Jerry and my only complaint is I have paid twice as much in the past from the big name guys and had to wait several weeks for the same quality as Jerry's custom made belts and I recieved his in the same week I ordered them.

Hey Jerry, I need to know how you want them measured too. My son needs his first gun belt (just turned 21 this year).

Or if you could post those pics, I'm sure Murray and I aren't the only ones that'd like to see them. Thanks.

Do you want the rounded or pointed end of the belt?

Do you want to change the buckle at some point?
If not I will use loctite on the Chicago screws.

I'll try to take a picture of the inside of the belt when I get one completed. I have no stock of belts . Each one is made for the owner. Send me a e-mail and I can send you some pictures.
