Nice guns! Just for my own information: The 442 came in a nickel finish? I assume that this is different from the silvery finish on the 642?

It is factory nickel finish, and very different from the 642's finish.

FYI Just to let you know that I purchased new a 442 for $425 and got a holiday rebate from S&W so my cost was $395. So may want to reduce the price some.
