But not too cold to squeeze a project out this morning!, ⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️ Found me a chunk o 1095 steel and permanent marker. Bout 10 minutes later I drew this out and got about makin some sparks!! It is a large blade and it will make a statement!

Drilled out a bunch of weight from the handle so it will have a better balance. Suggestions for scales? What does my Sigforum family like?⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

I like the looks of this blade. I'm partial to Maple or Black Walnut but a color liner would go well with those on something like this. Just my .02 but if I had to choose I would go with a red liner and stabilized Maple burl in a natural Tung oil finnish. I know it may be an over used combo but there's a reason it is.

What a beautiful blade.

My .02 is a really dark wood and some blue liners. I can’t remember if it was you or dozer that did the blue liners, but they looked slick. Maybe I’m biased because of the thin blue line....

Lastly, you could mess it us just a little and sell it to me at a discount. Smile

Edit to add: it was your Damascus knife with the blue liners. You do great work.

Personally, I think it’d look good with a bone or stag scales.

Yep, I was thinking some sort of smooth bone grips with a G10 bolster would finish it off nicely. Really like the design so far.

Sybo, you would do well to take a tracing of that design so you can replicate it and make it one of your standard models, if that’s something you do. It looks like it would be a seriously well-balanced cutter.
