Spyderco Kapara. Don't know how I missed it when it first came out.

It carries nice, has excellent ergonomics and a nice blade.

A few companions and I made one more trip to the spyder nest before leaving for DC. They had Swaybacks in stock. The military discount was nice.

Will rotate these 4 today as they get some lovin' and cleaning.
Will predominately carry the Bone CV Sod Buster Jr but have the others just in "case".

Giving these Canal Street Cutlery pinch lockbacks some love today.
Like the Dog Head Coppersmith in root beer bone they made for KA-BAR best but the sunset smooth bone with the CS shield is a keeper too.

Did you pick up one of the fixed blade dog heads when KA-BAR has them on clearance for $75 a few years ago?

No I didn't. Maybe wish I had, but have plenty of fixed blades. I can tell by looking at the (beautiful) Dog Head KA-BAR fixed blade you posted, that Canal Street Cutlery made that one too ... prolly in D2 steel(?)

It was Canal who made it as far as I know. I’m not sure on the steel.

Today's knife is my Victorinox Army 7.

Same exact as the Farmer, except it has a billhook blade instead of the can opener and no keyring loop, which is the main reason I bought this as the key ring loop on these ALOX knives really dig into your palm.

Thanks for the link! Works great.

Sharpened this PM2 today for friend. While I was at it took it apart lightly polished the pivots on a 8K stone, adjusted the liner lock. If you haven't done it, adjusting/bending the liner makes a big difference in the action. Your Shaman is the same. Bend so the gap is a little less then thickness of the liner steel. Put back together, aggressively shake/snap the closed knife to make sure it won't open. If opens, bend liner lock open slightly. Also with the knife open make sure the liner lock is completely inside or inline with the blade for positive engagement.
