I just received one of these yesterday. For those of you who are not familiar with Scrap Yard Knives, it's a company built by the brother of Jerry Busse- Dan Busse, and they basically build all their knives from the left over scraps, rejected parts, and other parts and steel discarded or left over from the Busse Combat and Swapt Rat shops. This model, the Dumpster Mutt is made from SR77 steel and an old handle from the Busse Combat Basics line from years ago.

This has the THICKEST blade stock I have ever seen for a blade this size!

Scrap Yard Knives

You know, I am a folding knife guy, but I checked out his site, and he has some nice stuff. I may find myself sending him some money. Thank you for the introduction.

Nice. I have four of those. Two are LEs with the Satin blade finish, and the other two have the Double Cut (bead-blasted) blade finish. And yes, they are incredible durable, and are hard-use knives. Unfortunately, they're difficult to buy. When they go up for sale, they don't last very long. I am talking hours or minutes, not days.

Nice score!
The original Dumpster Mutt is highly regarded by the forum members at the yard.

I've got a couple DCDMs in the safe that I bought to make a buck or two on. Always had good luck with the secondary market for Scrapyard knives.

That's a good looking knife. I wasn't familiar with that company before but I've been looking for a fixed blade like that for camping and hunting.

WOW!! Eek That thing looks like a freakin' pry bar!

I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every Panda that wouldn't screw to save its species. I wanted to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all the French beaches I'd never see. I wanted to breathe smoke.

Awesome score.

If anyone can help a brother out on acquiring a Hairy Carry, email is in my profile. Looks like a great hard use knife for hiking/camping, i.e. just what I need!
