Hi guys,
I have a SOG Gentlemen that has been very good but I want to buy a new folder that has an Axis/Arc-lock style or lockback mechanism and assisted open (preferably with a blade knob (something on the back end of the blade, not sure what to call it) in addition to/instead of thumb studs. Question: I know that double edged and automatic open are not legal in CA. But are there other things I should be aware of? Blade length, etc? I want a pocket folder..... this is not really a question any body can answer. My understanding is that each county and some times city in CA has their own laws regarding knives. your best bet is to talk to an attorney. personally I just called the local PD and asked what are the laws regarding this. for the most part if it is not fully automatic, you are not waving it around, and you dont have it concealed you should be ok.

Check this out, I am not sure it will answer your questions completely, but it might shed some light;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switchblade near the bottom it has all the states and which ones allow legal carry or not. Check it out! |

Thanks guys. Yea, I've been poking around on the net a bit and it seems that each level of government has their own guidelines. Federal, State, County, City.
Anyway, I bought a Sog Vulcan. P226 Blackwater (9mm) P220R-45-BSS with CTC Logo Wishlist: P226R-9-BSS; P239-9-BSS |
