ulstermanESEE Laser Strike - after action report
Recently changed out my KBar for a ESEE Laser Strike.
Well made knife, feels good in the hand.
The down side I see is the washer that is used to remove the handles to access the flint and tinder tabs. It would be very difficult to manipulate that little washer if you had gloves on or were suffering from shock as I was from my accident. I carry my own flint and steel set so the one in the handle of the knife would only be used if everything went very wrong.
I'm going to work on a T handle type gizmo to go with the knife and see if that will work better.

agonyI love the LS.
The way I see it, the tinder and striker in the handles is simply redundant. I have a dedicated striker and carry tinder in a pouch attached to the sheath.

ulstermanAs it is with me. But if it is there, you need an adequate way of accessing it.

ulstermanBroken ankle has me out of business but I have two different ideas.
First is using about 1/8" wire and attaching a stubby screw driving bit. Looking at the kydex sheath, I think it could be attached.
2nd is using a long screwdriver bit. Heating the top part and splitting it. More bulky but would hold up better.
