... is a Benchmade Mini-Ambush.

second photo third photo

Dick's Sporting Goods, $40.
It's very similar in size to my Delica, and it closes with one hand. I like it so far!

Anybody else got one? How well do you like it?

(The thumbprints aren't mine -- Job One is to clean this.)

Ambush:

Grip:

The Grip is a great knife as is anything with BM's axis lock and 40 clams is a screamin' deal. I paid $57 or so for my first one.

I'll have to check out the local Dick's around here.

Well, golly gee, Gibby -- I believe you're right. This is a Mini-Griptilian. It was tagged in the store as a Mini-Ambush. But based on the photos on links you provided, this is not the Mini-Ambush. (Handle difference.)

I checked Newgraham.com when I got home and found the Mini-Ambush for $31, and was a little bummed. Now I'm psyched!

Nope, you got a much better knife for a steal, congrats. I have a mini-ambush a good knife and suits my needs, but a different looking blade, a chubby handle and AUS8 steel. Nothing like the mini-grip.

If there were another there, I'd go get it. My friend who works there told me this was the last one -- the box was already "gone."

I had wanted a Mini-grip... looks like I got one! Big Grin

Went to a Dick's today, couldn't find the deal you got. As a matter of fact, I couldn't find any BMs.

Good find vthoky.

The mini-ambush has a much smaller "axis lock" that actually seems to pull down at an angle and not straight back like a true axis lock. Got a great deal with the one you got. Congrats!

Thanks, all. I like it so far. The only nit-picky thing I've found so far is that the thumb stud gets caught on the inside of the pocket seam once in a while upon removal from the pocket. Not a big deal once I get used to it and remove the knife with that in mind.
