Hello.

I bought a Benchmade a while ago and since then I been reading up on knives. Benchmade and Spyderco have nice products and I´d like to get a few.

Anyways, I found a good deal on a Byrd Cara Cara. Byrd is Spyderco´s cheapest line of knives, made in China.

Not the coolest knife but I thought it could be a good car knife. Something to cut the seatbelts with if the occasion occurred, always close at hand etc.

When I recived it I was initially not very impressed, the box was really cheap and flimsy, the plastic handles felt so much cheaper then my BM knife. But, now after a few days I´ve noticed that its really really sharp and though it doesnt feels as nice as the BM it is well put together and a great knife for the price (sub $20).

Here is a short video of it and below some pictures.

Here it is at work, keeping my dinner safe;

I use on of the Byrd knives daily at work. Not afraid to lose it or break it because it was only $16, but it has been very good at staying sharp and is built very well. Pretty hefty feel. Thanks for your pix and info.
