I've always admired his work, but I haven't taken the plunge on one of Dietmar Kressler's beautiful knives...

I'm a pretty good friend of his, yet I've never owned one of his knives. His workmanship is outstanding. If you don't already know, these knives are full integrals. That means made from one piece of steel.

I'd contact him directly if you're interested. You may be able to save a substantial sum.

Ricardo Velarde is another maker that does integrals. He studied with Dietmar and Steve Johnson.

Beautiful knives. I've always thought that Loveless style of fighter was one of the most elegant designs around. $3,000+ is too spendy for me, but they are amazing pieces of art.

Very beautiful, but out of my league. I am envious of those that have (can afford) these beautiful works of art.

I was thinking of contacting Herr Kressler and seeing if a custom knife might be made per certain specs, as I have been a fan for some time. I wonder what the wait for a decent Fighter might be?
