I really love this Spyderco even though I don't recommend it for everyday use. But as a defense tool this is one Evil blade...

I have a Civilian. It never fails to draw attention when I bring it out of the safe. They are one of a kind for sure.

The Matriarch is a wicked blade...not too big, but just as evil as the Civilian. I carry mine occasionally. It's the top one:

Thanks BOSS,
I do have a bit of a fetish for hawkbill blades and Spyderco makes some of the best.
Here's a portion of my Harpy/Merlin collection:

I carry a Civilian 5 days a week, at work, concealed under my uniform. I did carry two of them, but a Tarani Masters Model Karambit folder displaced one of them several years ago. My wife just claimed the displaced Civi earlier today, after they received threats at her job. She can't carry a firearm into her building, and she decided she needed something bigger than the blades she already had.

Another USN'er here! Smile
