no matter what, those are some beautiful works of art

An old pic, but here's my one & only CRK:

I like my WC large 21 and plain 25. If I ever spot a deal on a WC 25 I might get one.

These are now my two EDC Sebenzas. I've found that I greatly prefer both with the clips removed but I still can't decide if I greatly prefer one blade over the other.

If they'd make the new large Inkozi with the Insigno blade, I think I'd have to splurge for another CRK.

I love my small Sebenza, but my favorite CRK is my 2005 Mnandi with mammoth bark scales and Devon Thomas stainless raindrop damascus. The Mnandi is truly an elegant, yet sturdy knife. Even after 10 plus years I still find myself taking it out of my pocket just to admire it.....and yes I do carry it and use it.
At some point I will probably get the Sebenza 25....it's call is strong!

From what I understand, the 25 is being replaced by the Large Inkozi. Basically the Inkozi is a 25 with some minor changes to the washers, clip placement & stop pin.

Thanks for the heads up on that! That is news to me.

Wanted to say a very sarcastic, "Thanks A Lot!!!" for this thread, sir ! Big Grin

Started out looking at the (original) Inkosi as EDC to replace a Kershaw that was eating holes in the pockets of my jeans and ended up getting a ZT 0450 to replace it.

Now, with this thread reawakening me to CRKs, I've found that they have a new "Large Inkosi" and it looks AWESOME ! Smile

Very intrigued that you are carrying them with the clips *removed* - a very interesting approach, sir.

Am now being extremely tempted to go for a Large Inkosi as a soon to be belated birthday present Wink

Better get going on saving for it Wink

The large gets carried in a sheath on the outside of my man purse. The small rides in a CRK leather pocket sheath within a jacket or trouser pocket. Both sizes are much more comfortable in the hand without the clip and really makes you appreciate how well the handle is designed.

Thank you for elaborating on how they are carried Smile

Will have to look to see if there is a leather pocket sheath for the larger size...

Would you think that the large is too big to carry in a trouser pocket, perhaps?

CRK does make the leather pouch for both sizes. I've got one for the large as well and would use it if the knife was carried loosely in a bag. For me the large would probably be too big for loose carry in a pants pocket but I haven't tried it.

Browndrake,
Your post now has me undecided again on which way to go, but it's very much appreciated. Would you mind sharing your thoughts between carrying the small Sebenza and the Mnandi in terms of weight and usage?

Here are my decision points I'm trying to navigate. I don't like pocket clips and will carry loose in my front pocket. Because of this weight and bulk are important. I love the elegance of the Mnandi. How does it handle as a useful knife for "gentleman" type EDC usage? I'd like to be able to carry this in slacks and shorts as much as jeans. Though I do have a little auto that fits the super lightweight bill just fine.

snipes,
I carry my Mnandi in the leather pouch in my front pocket every single day. It disappears and I forget about it. When I carry my Sebenza I use the clip. Neither one weighs enough to be a concern, but the Mnandi is definitely less noticeable overall. In terms of use, I use my Mnandi more because I carry it more. It is a deceptively strong knife. You're holding this feather weight little gem in your hand and at first blush you may think it looks too fragile and light to be a serious EDC knife, but it is capable of most any reasonable chore required of a pocket knife. If my lifestyle required hard, every day use of a pocket knife I would probably opt for the Sebenza, as it is more robust. For "gentleman" type usage the Mnandi is more than capable and most definitely the best choice in my opinion. I think Mr. Reeve's best creation to date is the Mnandi.

A little more CRK goodness. This carbon fiber inlay arrived today to join the wood and micarta. Very sweet. I also snapped a few photos to show the pockets sheaths and how I carry mine without pocket clips.

WONDERFUL ! ! !

Thank you very much for the photos Big Grin

I have been carrying my EDC flippers on the weak side using the pocket clips for fast access should there be a need, especially when carrying, but man, a de-clipped CRK in a sheath sure is appealing Cool

Thank you, again Smile

No problem. I enjoy taking them.

I love my flipper knives too. My ZT 0900 is probably my overall favorite knife right now. When legal, it is never far from me.

My CRK overview video is finally done. I'll do some other videos later for comparisons and such. It's my first such video so it's a little long and rambling but you might find some useful info in there.
