I would think times have changed a bit. The Case Trapper was on the list. In younger days and circles, no self-respecting man would be caught dead without a medium sized 3 blade stockman-most often a Case in his pocket.

In my pocket now is a Kershaw Cryo.

All one needs.

I like it. I have a drawer with a various knives accumulated over the years, without a doubt, it will be one of these that gets used on a regular basis.

It's a pretty good list. I've got 12 of them. Well technically not an Emerson CQC-7 but I'm counting my Benchmade 975.

I own several from the list.

It absolutely, positively needs a quality medium stockman. Period.

Good list...I have 5. Some of my knives that didn't make the list are my personal favorites.

I don't know if I am just a herd follower over many years or a good judge of knives but I have (or had in a few cases) 17 on the list.

Agreed. I bought mine from CountryBoy in new condition. At first I fellt bad carrying it but I love it so much, it became my EDC, occassionaly trading out with my mini grip. I beat the hell out of that knife, sent it back to BM once so far for their eversharp service.

No list of "must have" knives is complete without a Barlow!

Or a stockman!

Surprisingly, I have 9 out of that list. The one that get's carried the most is the CQC7 with the Para Military coming in close second. Great list.

+1 for serious questions about who puts the list out and suspected links to a an internet sales site.
Nice products, but they are all heavily advertised/popularly promoted by sales groups online...and I suspect it could be a nice promotional list by an aggressive sales group featureing THEIR PRODUCTS.
