Light honing with a steel. No stones, I acually used an AccuSharp. For a $200 sword, it does a fair job. Followed up with 400 paper, then 1500, then the usual talcum powder.
Patrick, at this time I’m not sure my set-up is dialed in for that. Maybe one day ⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

So glad it worked out for you. Well, I guess if I had any extra tatami mats lying around, I would bust out some tameshigiri. Just paper for now. Until the zombies get here.
