So I have been carrying a 585 Mini Barrage since this past summer. I love this knife. Last night on duty I dropped it in some sand and it needed a good cleaning. I have taken the handles scales off a dozen times with no problems. This time I heard a small click and now it is completely messed up. Some how the assist spring was loose and now it opens on its own and unless the lock is in the locked positio, the blade doesn't close all the way. I am currently boxing it up to ship out tomorrow. I hope this comes back OK. It will be the first time I have sent anything to them for repair.

I used Benchmade LifeSharp. Not only did they sharpen the blade, the installed a new clip and cleaned it up. They will fix it and it will be like new.

I used the Life Sharp too once on my Stryker. I should clarify then, I have never sent one back for Warranty repair. They sound pretty strict with the warranty policy is all. They did say I didn't need a sales slip from the original date of purchase but what about the other things. Has anyone ever been called back and told they owe money for some repairs they did not cover?

So my precious just came back and let me just say THANK YOU BENCHMADE. They sharpened the blade, replaced whatever was needed and my knife came back better than it was when I first bought it. They even sent my check back that I sent for return shipping. Now that is service.

But seriously, now that this has come back I am convinced that something was wrong with it from the start. This thing opens with authority now. It was knid of quick before but now it is sizzling fast. I am not sure but I think they also gave me a new clip and I know I got new screws for the handles and pivot.
