I’m looking to buy a knife for my best man and my friend that is officiating my wedding. I found the Spyderco Delica 4 folder to be in my budget and in stock. The model I’m looking at is $120 on the Spyderco site. But I found it on Amazon for $84. Prime delivery and good reviews. I’m just wondering if there is a risk of counterfeit or if Spyderco sells through third parties generally?

These go to eleven.

I am a bit reluctant to buy off Amazon but have no problem with sites like BladeHQ or KnivesShipFree. I did a quick search at BladeHQ and saw several Delica 4's in that price range. link

Thanks. I’ve been researching a bit and found the same thing. I will order from BladeHQ.

BladeHQ is reliable.

Great. I ordered the Endura 4 for both from BladeHQ. Same price as Amazon but also Blade had the option to add engraving. A perfect addition to best man and officiating gifts.

A little late but BladeHQ is indeed solid. A little slow on shipping but generally solid.

I've purchased knives from both Amazon and BladeHQ. I have had good results with both.

Blade HQ came through fast, even with engraving. I think the guys will be pretty happy with these...

Manufacturers have an understanding that with their distributors that the manufacturer has to list at retail price. Otherwise, they won't have any distributors buying since everyone will just buy direct.

A total success. Our kids all got the knives also. We thought it would be nice to give out new step children a gift. They are all adults or close to adults so it was appreciated.

Yes, generally just about everyone will price lower than the manufacturer's website.

Buying from Amazon is very safe. Make sure that Amazon is the actual seller. If it is, they will not be selling counterfeit goods, and will refund your money cheerfully if you don't want it when you get for damn near any reason.

Amazon partners, who also sell on Amazon, are of varying quality, but most are at least okay, and many are very responsive. But there are some bad apples.

Amazon itself is extremely reliable.
