Scrapyard Knives just released a new knife last night, the Scrapper 5. Just a note to those who are interested in quality blades.

Check their forum, Dan posted a thread with pics of all the variations.

Moss green with black looks pretty cool to me.

I ordered a Black/Black, just because I'm a basic kind of person. I was looking at the green/black, but decided to stick with my first instinct.

I should be at the top of the order list. I had my order placed no more than 10 mins after they put it up on the site.

I ordered a black/black and a green handle and black blade on a second knife. I'm going to give one of them to my brother for Christmas...

This is going to be the first Scrap Yard knife I've ever bought.

I found Scrap Yard about 6 months ago and have been doing a good bit of reading on them. I would love to have a Street Scrapper 4 but there is no way in hell I'm paying secondary market price.

I thought about getting a SOD when they were still up but I didn't. I took one look at the Scrap Muk and knew I would keep waiting for the right knife. Then they posted the Scrapper 5! I knew I needed this knife.

Busse is out of my price range but I have been looking at Swamp Rat stuff too. It seems like the Yard moves a whole lot faster than than the Swamp. I'm sure I'll get a Swamp Rat knife at some point but for now Scrap Yard has my attention.

I think the SY knives are a GREAT deal. Who doesn't need a tough knife for the woods or home. I particularly like the Scrapper5 on sale now. The gray blade/black handle is nice. Actually, I'd like 1 of each.

Last chance boys. These won't be selling for much longer. They may never make this one again. I need a good field knife. This looks capable. Just the right size.

This looks cool. Someone help me out here, do they only produce one model at a time? Past experiences? Input appreciated.

Thanks

They make them in runs. Some models are exclusive and only make them and never again. Their standard models are done in runs when time and materials allow. They make their blades from left over scraps and from the webs of knife blanks cut out from Busse and Swamp Rat knives so thats why sometimes they have to wait until they have a substantial ammount to make knives.
