neither does the top one here, which is why I like the Hisshou. The top one came back with my FIL from Iwo Jima, so it pretty much stays on the shelf.

Before you go ahead and spend 200 bucks on this naginata style knife/short sword, take a look at something I came across. These guys make different style blades - some forged, like the ones I am linking to, and others folded carbon steel.
