I tested their Lansky version knife sharpening system, verdict still out.
But I was looking at their Auto Knives.
Anyone have any experience with these people?
Thanks

I think I am going to sign on with these boys
#1 Made in Alabama
#2 Claim their product is as good or better than Benchmade without the attitude
#3 Full line including autos and knife related accessories
#4 They promised Home cooked Southern food when I go down for the training!

Never heard of them but Knifecenter carries the brand.

https://www.knifecenter.com/br...Bear-and-Son-Cutlery

And from Bloomberg:
Bear & Son Cutlery Inc. manufactures and sells cutlery. The company offers knives, pocket sharpeners, carbide sharpeners, sharpening systems, accessories, sheathes, gift sets, blades, and more. It offers products through a network of dealers; and online. Bear & Son Cutlery Inc. was formerly known as Bear MGC Cutlery, Inc. and changed its name to Bear & Son Cutlery Inc. in 2004. The company was founded in 1991 and is based in Jacksonville, Alabama.

Boy that Knifecenter sure carries a lot of different companies. On the items I carry, I beat his prices on every like item. But I can't compete with his inventory....
That's $100's of thousand$ in stock. Many of their listed items are slow sellers for me.

I don't have any experience with them myself, but if I'm remembering correctly, Bear and Son (Bear Ops) was the one brand that Derrick at Knives Ship Free named that he regretted carrying/selling. I believe he stated the quality wasn't up to standard, even for an affordable knife brand. I can't find the video he said this in, so I apologize if I'm remembering incorrectly.

Just an FYI, Derrick passed in 2018. His wife and longtime employees are still running the business. Hopefully they can give you the feedback you are looking for.

SMKW sells Bear and Son knives. Some of them have the appearance of Pakistani cutlery.

Quite.

What stood out to me was the term "Built America"- Means they probably screwed the pocket clip on or other minor detail.

I have a small stockman. Have never used it; it has sat in my top drawer since I got it, but it is a nice knife. Quality seems good, fit and finish are fine.

I had a skinner design by them 20 years ago, can't remember what happened to it but it came shaving sharp and was quite good quality for the price.

Case knives aren't a whole lot more expensive on the low end, sod busters etc.
I see no benefit to competing on the low end with eBay/Amazon

For under $20 just get on alibaba and order Chinese copies. I used to sell some Enlan tactical knives and the quality was good.
There was a thread about them at some point

Every slipjoint Bear I've handled was a pass, the lock backs are decent

I quit school in elementary because of recess.......too many games
