This is good news! I love him as Bond and another flick is fantastic! I can see how he would be reluctant given the demanding physical requirements of the current series. It's rumored that he could make over 100 million on the next film....hard to walk away from.

$100mm would make anyone "come around" to the idea of returning to an iconic role. Roll Eyes

Casino Royale is still the best one he's done so, out of spite, I won't see this one.

Too bad for Patton Oswalt. I heard he was a strong contender for this one.

Craig is a very good Bond, but his movies, other than CR, have done nothing for me. Granted, that might be a sign of the times more than anything. It's very tough to move the needle these days with a spy/action thriller. Attitude, fights, gadgets, and bedding sexy women no longer a blockbuster movie make.

Judi Dench is the actor I will miss the most with a new Craig, Bond movie.

You may not have enjoyed the movies but they were blockbusters and that's why Broccoli wanted Craig to return so badly.

Craig has done a decent Bond, Casino Royale was it though, the others, ok.

Quantum of Solace was a blockbuster? Really?

I'm one of the most diehard Bond fanatics on this site. I've read the books and seen all the movies. No question, Casino Royale was a blockbuster, and setup Craig as 'Bond'. The rest of his movies have been Ok, but certainly not the magnitude of Casino Royale. And memo to the writers and directors, don't kill off future Bond girls (i.e. Severine). It pisses off the audience. And find a new 'Q'. One that can carry the humor the character has historically engaged in. Desmond Llewelyn (may he RIP) will never be fully replaced in that role.

Craig is running 50/50 so I guess this is the chance for them to go out on top. Spectre had a chance to be really special. I can't believe how badly they mucked it up.

Well, sure if you count world-wide receipts. Only $168 million domestically which barely edged out Casino Royale...paltry... Big Grin
