Who would you venerate to SIGforum patron saint status and why? You may add to a nominees credentials and worthiness. You may reasonably argue against a nominee, as unlikely as that will most probably be.

While our Fearless Leader is certainly respected loved and venerated here he may not be nominated.....unless of course the OP feels threatened by mucho bad juju.

I will start with my pinnacle pick.
Annie Oakley, "Little Miss Sure Shot".
First female entertainment superstar.
Star of Buffalo Bills Wild West Show
Favorite of Sitting Bull.
Performed for Queen Victoria & Tsar Nicolas II
Shot the ash from a cigarette in the mouth of
Kaiser Wilhelm II
What a life story, love ya Annie!

Don't know the name, but I'll nominate the first German to build a jaeger rifle in what is now the US as the patron saint of this shrine to Teutonic tech.

Alternative nominees are the Duponts, pere et fils. The senior Dupont was Swiss, and opened the first commercial gunpowder manufacturing plant in the US. Both father and son died in tragic explosions at the same gunpowder mill.
