My opinion: He was afraid to let Milo speak. I'm sure he watched Youtube videos, and knows that Milo is smart, and very quick witted. It was a fight that Maher dodged. Maher is also smart, but I listened to his opening monolog. Not very funny, and Maher doesn't believe a word of it: That Trump is a Hitler wanna be, very dangerous, totally incompetent. He was pandering to the audience. Milo says what he believes. Passionately. It was no match on that basis as well, so Maher just didn't give him a chance to put two sentences together. Then he threw that punch after the bell-- "Get off the Trump train"-- and ran to his panel. Exceptional Circumstances |
I am a fan of Milo but I'm a little disappointed in his performance. He was a little too eager to get along. Perhaps he should have displayed the edge that has endeared many of his followers. He went into the lion's den and should have showed some more teeth. Did anyone see the overtime on youtube? He was told to go fuck himself several times and all he did was smile and laugh it off. I think laughing at a comment like that is the most appropriate thing to do. For someone to say that indicates how intellectually inferior they are. They're too stupid to make a cogent argument against what their opponent is saying, they become frustrated with their lack of intellectual capacity, and so they take out their frustration with their superior opponent by falling back on gross insult. They're also too stupid to realize that's exactly what their childish response actually indicated to the viewers. This makes if amusing in both ways. If a 4 year old child yelled up at me, "You're just a big poopy pants!" I'd just laugh and tell him to run along - I hear his mommy calling for him. I found what you said riveting. | |||
