I'd like to put in for my brother in law. He just started flight training on these. This would be a great gift.

Congrats to the winners!

I was un-aware this sort of model existed, I ordered a F4U Corsair for myself.

Slight post hijack:

As mentioned above, I bought the F4U Corsair model from these folks via Amazon.

Horry Sheet! It was smaller than I realized and all laser-cut out of one sheet of metal about 4" square. All flat. Snip out the piece, fold on the lines, insert Tab A into Slot B type construction. Really, REALLY small tabs and the fold lines are partially cut through to make it easier to fold, but also easier to snap if you move the fold around much.

Delicate work for a shaky old fart with bad eyes. Think magnifying glass, tweezers and hemostats. For instance, the landing gear is 4 separate pieces. The prop spinner is one flat piece that folds up into the cone and has tabs that go into slots on the prop.

I did manage to get it together without breaking anything or losing my mind, but I had to set it down and walk away a couple of times.

I enjoyed it once I got my mind right, may have to get another.
