WTF John? Just go home and stop embarrassing yourself...

“Senator McCain was treated at Walter Reed Medical Center over the weekend for a minor tear in his right Achilles tendon, as well as for other normal and non-life-threatening side effects of cancer therapy. Senator McCain has returned to work in the Senate and will be wearing a walking boot until his injured tendon is fully healed,” the Senator’s office said in a statement.

What's the simpler answer? That someone flipped an image because it somehow suited the newsprint format better? Or that John McCain has two different medical boots that he can't remember which one to wear from day to day because he chooses to wear only one instead of two, but somehow... has two just get so he can get mixed up about it? This is after he attempted to put the boot on his right arm, then someone reminded him the Achillies tendon was in his foot/leg.

When was the last time he actually worked for the United States as a member of the senate?

He needed to retire years ago.

This pic could easily be faked but I don't really care either way. I do believe we need to have mandatory retirement ages put in place.

I know a couple of 80 year olds who are sharp as a tack but are completely out of touch with so many things I would never want them running anything other than their own social program.

You get to a point in life where what you have been through in life is not relatable to what is currently going on.

If manipulated, doctored (ha), photoshopped, then the perpetrator remembered to move the flowers on the lapels to the correct left side also.

He actually ruptured both of his Achilles tendons, but Obamacare will only pay for one boot, so he has to rotate them.

Neither of those images is flipped. Regardless of the explanation, the photos do not appear to have been manipulated.

In this photo you can see that in both images, carnations and soldier's badges are on the left side of chests, but ol' Johnny Jump-Up is wearing his boot on different feet.

His Excellency Pham Quang Vinh
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
to the United States of America
Embassy of Vietnam
1233 20th Street, NW
Suite 400
Washington, DC 20036

Dear Ambassador:

I am writing for two purposes; first, to express my congratulations on the third anniversary of your accreditation as Ambassador to the United States, and second, to propose an informal arrangement between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the United States of America for an exchange of political, scholarly, and cultural thought between our nations. For both purposes, I write as an ordinary American citizen.

For the second purpose, I propose that for a limited period—perhaps a year or two?—an American lawmaker might travel to Vietnam and serve in that capacity in your National Assembly, while a member of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam would come to the Untied States and serve in our Congress. I would specifically propose that Senator John McCain of Arizona travel on behalf of the United States. The selection of his Vietnamese counterpart would, of course, be left to the best judgment of your government.

I offer that two worthwhile goals would be met through this arrangement. First, in the person of John McCain your National Assembly would likely seat a far more dedicated Socialist than whoever you might send here. Secondly, the Vietnamese lawmaker who would serve in Senator McCain’s place in our Senate would be likely be far more honest with the American people than Senator McCain about where his true beliefs, sympathies, and interests reside. I see this as a “win-win” for both of our nations.

I am copying this letter to the office of Senator McCain in the hope that both our governments find this arrangement agreeable. Again, please accept my congratulations on your tenure thus far as Ambassador to the United States, and best wishes on many more years of success and happiness in your already distinguished diplomatic career.

Very truly yours,
DennisM

@SenJohnMcCain

Thank you for your support & best wishes. My left leg was doing extra work to compensate for the boot, so I'm giving it a break. I still hate wearing this boot, but it won't slow us down from frying 7 turkeys today!

I'm Ok with this. We send Schumer or one of the indefatigueable-Three Geniuses from Cali and Florida and we get an ordinary, blood-thirsty, re-education-camp, AK 47 totin' commie, we win.

"Untied" is a typo.

While I'm pretty sure that neither Vietnam nor McCain will take up the "offer," I'd actually be OK with this.

So, no. Not humor. He'd do less damage overseas. And an avowed Socialist here would at least be out-in-the-open, and not much different from 3/4 or more of the current Democrats.

Maybe a “typo”, but more truth there than at first glance. Confused
