I had to post this story just because of the photo. It perfectly captures how I feel when I read this social justice warrior nonsense. I couldn't put up with the nonsense on a daily basis.

CAMPUS POLICE OFFICER DOESN’T ACCEPT SJW LOGIC

Much to the chagrin of social justice warriors, a campus police officer at Kennesaw State University (KSU) upheld the law at a free speech event held in late October.

Video footage obtained by Campus Reform shows leftist students at KSU smugly shredding signs at the free speech event, claiming they promoted “violence.”

“Abortion is murder #DefundPlannedParenthood,” “There are only two genders,” and “The gender wage gap, Harry Potter, Both Fantasy,” were some of the messages depicted on the signs.

According to the President of the College Libertarians at KSU, Javid Ona, the signs were posted by individuals attending the free speech event. Ona told Campus Reform the signs didn’t represent the views of all groups involved as there were many “groups from across the political spectrum” in attendance.

“Are you serious? You’re gunna [sic] sit here and promote this stuff and then get pissed when they rip it up?” one of the protesters asked the participants of the event. Another social justice warrior attempted to justify the vandalism by claiming one sign promoted “violence against transgender people like myself.”

One sign owner challenged the hoodlums by asking them if they had the right to destroy someone’s private property. “Is it your property?” one protester asked.

When the owner said it was, the vandal smirked and asked: “Does it have your name on it?”

Another member of the small crowd, who appeared to be against the vandalism, expressed her own disapproval by offering constructive feedback, suggesting signs that pose a question, rather than a statement.

Several attendees of the event reported the vandalism to a police officer monitoring the event.

Campus Reform reports the officer explained to the main vandal that she “helped tear up a sign,” explaining that it was a crime.

When told she had committed a crime, the vandal asked, “How?”

“Because it’s someone else’s property,” the officer explained.

The main vandal, who refused to identify herself, wanted proof of purchase for the signs, asking, “May I see the receipt for it?”

“Oh my god. Do you want to do this, this way?” the officer responded. “I can take you to jail if you don’t identify yourself. That’s how this works.”

One protester tried to justify the signs’ destruction by telling the officer they contained “hate speech,” prompting the officer to move the vandals away from the other students.

“You and you,” the officer said pointing to the two protesters, “walk over to my car and we’re going to talk away from all these people so that we can have a conversation without anybody else interrupting.”

The protesters were escorted to the officer’s car and were detained, however, the owners of the signs refused to press charges.

Why in the hell is a "campus police" officer dressed like that? That's a little too far if you ask me.

What a great job by the photographer of capturing that. I bet if the officer wasn't wearing shades his eye roll would've made it even better.

Whether the protesters like it or not, so-called "hate speech" is just as protected by the First Amendment as any other.

As for proof of ownership of a sign--I thought "possession is 9/10 of the law" would apply. Take the protester's shoes and destroy them. Ask them to prove their ownership with a receipt.

I tried to ID the campus cop's gun but was not able to.

Absolutely!!!! Mad

The owners of the signs might as well tell the protestors to kick their asses while they're at it.

At one point the police force with the most officer involved shootings per capita was

The University of Pennsylvania police force.

Now part of that is that UPenn is surrounded by shitholes

But the other part is that campuses are not exempt to the same crime and violence that might plague any other community

Yep, I would have pressed charges in a second. Those people bought supplies to make the signs and then spent time making them. They have zero right to destroy their property. I don't care if the sign said some offensive or not.

If no one stands up and says you can't act like that then they will continue to act like 6 year olds. When they get into the real world are they going to rip up their bosses memos if they don't like the content of them? Spoiled rotten children is all they are.

External vest carriers are becoming increasingly common in law enforcement. Think of them like body armor and duty belt, rolled into one. It gets most of the equipment off your hips/waist, which can help reduce strain and injury, and it's cooler and more comfortable than an under-uniform armor vest.

I've got no prob with the vest.. the overall green is my issue. He's a campus cop.... Not a green beret fighting the rebels.

This is why some people do not respect the police. You come dressed for war you will get it. I realize that I may be at odds with some here but god damn.... It's not a war like you have been told.

To earn respect you need to show respect. And that starts with treating your fellow man like you want to be treated. You catch more flies with honey remember?

I looked at the picture and KNEW someone would have a micro-aggression over how the officer was dressed.

Everyone knows that police officers should only dress like they are ready to invade Poland while wearing a bus driver hat.

Wow, really? So what if he was wearing red, or blue, that would be OK? Seriously we are upset because he is wearing green?

The SRO in my sons school wears a green uniform very similar to that. I don't think he is "inviting war" ... he is protecting a bunch of elementary kids, and given the shit ass world we live in I wouldn't care if he drove the halls in a fucking Abrams tank between classes, he is protecting my son in his school, and I am grateful he is there

He wears the uniform and equipment that is issued to him. I doubt he has a choice. If he does it is probably limited to one other option. Given the recent campus shootings nation wide I'm not surprised.

I'll draw your attention to a time when officers wore a simple cotton or wool uniform, a belt with handcuffs, a revolver, some a night stick. No bullet proof vest, no semi auto, no extra mags, no tazer, no mace, no extendable baton, some didn't even have a radio.

As the threat environment to officers escalated, so did their equipment, and it wasn't a quick escalation. Many officers paid the ultimate price for being ill equipped and trained for an increasingly violent criminal. No department made a decision on Monday to go from Barney Fife to Spec. Ops. Operator level equipment and issued it on Friday so they could look bad ass.

Maybe the SJW's need that level of visual "confrontation" to get the message.
