Lt Col Vindman was used by the Dems for their selfish purposes. He had no factual evidence to offer, just his opinions. So he heard the phone call - we all read the transcript. His "opinion"s were no more relevant than yours and mine. I dont know the man nor do I feel sorry for him - he very well may have been one of the leakers for the past 3 years. But it is a good example of the Dems destroying someone for their own selfish political reasons. | |||

Officers serve at-will, right? So are they kicked out of the military? Or just a new assignment? Is there some due process in this, or can a president fire an officer without having to deal with appeals, etc.? Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. As I understand it, they were not kicked out of the army, just fired from their jobs at the White House. I believe it takes some specific actions by the DOD to "fire them". One way, it used to be, was to request them to surrender their active duty status. Kind of like, "If you quit, we won't fire you" I believe officers can be court martialed, and then be stripped of their military status.
