HR 5103 - Financial banning of firearms

This Bill increases tax on ammo 50%, Tax on firearms 20%, and NFA tax from 200 to 500 dollars. This ammends Internal revenue code to steal your money and make it economically impossible to defend the 2nd ammendment.

This is being pushed by the democrats - not going to pass.

This will not pass but it just more proof that there are elected officials who want nothing but an entire ban. That kind of tax is nothing short of an attempt to ban something.

How many votes do you think this will get?

There are thousands and thousands of bills submitted every Congress, only a few hundred of which have any hope of being seriously considered. The rest are tossed in the hopper for the purpose of spewing some sunshine up the rear end of some group of constituents the Congressman wants to impress.

Best cross post that makes sense if you only read the title of the thread. Big Grin. Now to find the political thread with info about fertilizer spreaders. Bwahahahahaha. Smile

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I don't believe this will pass as it is a big jump. I think in years down the road they will attach taxes and fees and justify it as safety measures.

Can the $200 stamp even be changed to $500? And I've been hoping my next suppressor wouldn't have a tax stamp at all.
