Which is most of an 8-10 hour day. I'd bet the cumulative masking hours of a surgeon or dentist far exceed that of a person going about their daily business and putting a mask on where required in public spaces since Covid. There could be exceptions, but not many.

I would hope HIPPA and such would cover questions about your 'vaccine status'.

They can ask - even pretend that it is mandatory though the fine print denies it.

But ultimately it's none of their damn business.

HIPAA would not apply. If they asked your provider and your provider told them yes or no, that would be a violation. HIPAA prevents providers and insurance companies from sharing your information without your permission.

They can ask you all day long and you can either give them your information or choose not to.

They are saying that refusing to answer or answering 'no' to the question of whether you have been vaccinated will prevent you from entering.

So will HIPPA prevent them from confirming your answer? If so then problem solved. Tell them what they want to hear.

A lot of people in healthcare are using the same masks over and over. My g/f is a CRNA and tells me they won’t buy enough N95 masks for staff to have a new one every day. She puts hers on the dash of her car end of shift.

You have to show them your 'papers' - ie the card you get when you get the shot.

It's your choice to show the card or not, so HIPAA is out again in that case.

I figure by this summer you will have to 'show the card' to enter a lot of establishments - definitely at venues for concerts, sporting events, etc. Will be interesting to see how many private businesses require it and what the reaction will be. I'm guessing air travel will require it as well.

That hospital is about a half hour drive north for me and one of my cousins is a nurse there. I'm not surprised at all, PA was one of and remains one of the most Karen-y states there are with this stupid pandemic. Roll Eyes

St Lukes is where I got my vaccine shots...

They are one of the few facilities in Eastern Pa that had their act together with role out.

Freedom includes the freedom of choice...and it sometimes goes both ways.

Id expect them to reimburse any dues...they are month-to-month with no contract.

I'm so damn sick--so, so, so damn sick--of this squishy bullshit from conservatives or those on the right. This type of pernicious erosion of our rights as Americans is not ok, whether it's coming from big government or these large, misguided, woke corporations.

"Hey, yeah, our American way of life is being destroyed from within and replaced with some form of corporate, Marxist oppression, but at least it was done by private corporations and not government. So thumbs up!"

No, screw that. Conservatives need to snap out of it.

Oh really? Can they exclude a black man because of skin color? Can they exclude a muslim woman with a face covering?
Can they ask if you have AIDS? Its a private place after all.

Look up "place of public accomodation", before going on a rant.

Absolutely incorrect. There isn't a single "private company" in this country that does not fall under a government mandate of one form or another. People need to stop spouting this crap.

Clueless. So clueless

You're precisely the type of confused individual I'm talking about in regards to these private corporations can "do whatever they want; they're private!"

Do some reading. Figure it out. We're destroying ourselves with this fallacy.

Orwell, Orwellian, 1984, Big Brother...these words are very popular nowadays, but it's not perfectly accurate, is it? No, what i see ahead is a Brave New World.

I can't believe this thread is still so active. Wow. Wil this shit show ever end? Vaccinate if you want, don't if you don't want to. Fuck the government or any businesses that want you to 'show papers'. It will all be over in two months, at that point any one who wants the vaccine will have it by then.

I'll tell you this much, if I do get the vaccine, I'm not wearing a mask anywhere I go. Fire me, cancel me, outcast me, whatever.

Why are we even playing this game anymore?

All I can say is that all you people who are against getting the vaccine are going to look pretty dumb when the survival rate for those unvaccinated remains at 98.2%, but skyrockets to 98.3% for those who got the shots.
(^sarcasm!)

Seriously, get the vaccine if you want, or don't, but it should not be a requirement in order to participate in normal daily activities, work, or to enter businesses.

This nonsense needs to be stopped. What's next? Requiring us to carry proof that we've had all our childhood shots before being allowed in Walmart?

I swear! Humans are the only animals in the world that pick the dumbest ones in the herd to be the leaders.

I am glad this thread is still active. A lot of good information has been posted here and minds have been changed.
Sure... some fireworks now and then but that is to be expected. A Lot is at stake is an understatement.

This will not be over in two month. This is just the beginning and they need to be stopped in their tracks.
