My Mcd's was normal (I go inside) except hardly anyone there. It's brand new - was demolished and rebuilt in 2-3 months - grand opening was mid-December.

A lot of good information here that explains why the drastic measures are needed now.

Well Courts closed til Wednesday here so I'm taking a couple days off, but 4 year old came home this evening with a fever and feeling crappy. Last year, he had 105ish fever, influenza a, and pneumonia, so maybe that again.

Risk assessment math is never that neat, even if you use significant figures correctly.

I want to see s recommendation like these:

No groups of 13 or more...

No assemblies of 187 or more....

Odds of contracting it are 2.3 in 7.6247....

If your temperature is over 101.73....

It would still be guessing but it would appear more reality based.

Whining off.

I think we only need to stay 4.7 ft from each other.

I'll second that. Land, and "leave me alone space." If the flea market David Lee is caretaking is anything like the one I used to frequent in Florida, the man has a lot of space to work with. Good situation.

No, it will just feel like it.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

So far they only have one patient who is positive but are waiting on a bunch of pending tests for both inpatients and outpatients.

I'll let you all know what the tone is on the floor as I hear it from her.

Tony.

I truly hope she and all the others in the Med Fields have the same experience the NY folks did on 9-11.

Prepped for the worst, but it never came.

(but not to diminish the loss of life, as that was devastating to them, for the same reason)

I’m thinking that the economic consequences of the Stockmarket downturn will seriously affect state budgets. And state employee pension funds. Especially for free-spending blue states such as CA & NY. I can see those states begging demanding economic assistance from President Trump.

What really makes me sick are all the assholes that are not only buying up all of the essentials, but selling them openly for profit. Someone locally is selling loaves of bread for $3.00 a loaf, or 2 for $5. Then there’s the stories of people selling toilet paper and hand sanitizer for ridiculous sums of money. These people are parasites Mad

I was just reading this sobering article from reutters news service, lots of things in various states being enacted, not called martial law, more like "strongly discouraged", or no travel between the hours of 5p-7a unless "crucial" (New Jersey).

I have a Random question about Internet traffic.

With the increase of “internet usage”, I.e. more people doing their work from home, surfing the web in boredom, and online classes, etc...is it possible that the Internet “crashes”...or goes real slow, or has no effect?

Mainly wondering because my wife and several friends of mine are teachers. It seems like many schools are using Google Classroom to teach classes and give assignments, and apparently Google Classroom kept crashing. Figured it was the increased traffic.

Do people really believe that the President is supposed to be able to pull 300-400 million COVID test kits out of thin air and instantly have the lab facilities to process them?
